Mini Album with Tags | Polkadoodles Project

I had so fun creating this sweet little Mini Album with Tags using Polkadoodles printable goodies - it was fun and relaxing. This project is simple and it’s super versatile too.

I designed the base cut file myself using Cricut Design Space, and if you’re using DS, you can grab the file right here. It’s a great starting point if you’re looking for a quick and easy project with lots of room for personalization.

For the papers, I used the Happy Cactus Succulent Printable Papers from Polkadoodles. The cheerful colors (my fave colors too!) and patterns are perfect for a spring or summer vibe. I paired them with solid cardstock for structure, using it for both the base and the tags tucked inside.

The sentiment on the bellyband—“Hi, You”—comes from the Honeypie Greetings Sentiment pack. It’s such a simple but sweet message that works for just about any occasion.

To finish it off, I tied a cute polkadot ribbon on the tags for a little extra flair.

This little project is not only easy to make, but also very versatile—you can use it as a card, tuck in some photos to make it a mini album, or even use it for journaling or memory keeping. Pretty, functional, and really fun to make!

Digi Choosday Project | Tag Pocket Card : Sweet Layers & Floral Flair

There’s just something I love about a project that combines soft pastels, dreamy florals, and a pop of vibrant color—and this Tag Pocket Card is all that and more! I designed and handmade this card using my Cricut Maker, layering it up with lovely Polkadoodles printable papers and finishing it off with all the prettiest little embellishments.

The true star? The Polkadoodles Nature’s Beauty girl with flowers - a gorgeous digital stamp that I colored with my Ohuhu markers in soft florals and vivid hues. Here’s a breakdown of the colors I used:

  • Pink Flowers: R9, R23, R15, RP6

  • Orange Flowers: Y10, YR4

  • Leaves: BG68, PB10, G4, PB9

  • Bubbles: BG3

  • Hair: CG II04, CG II07

  • Eyes: B030

  • Lips & Cheeks: RV260

  • Skin: R18, RV260

Originally, I colored one large image—but midway, I realized I wanted a smaller version to tuck inside, so I colored a second, smaller one too. Totally worth it!

How I Made It:

  1. Design & Cut:

I created the envelope base and tag panels in Cricut Design Space and cut everything with my Cricut Maker. If you’d like to use the same shapes, you can grab my Design Space file here.

  2. Pocket Adjustments:

I mitered the corners of the pocket flap with scissors for a cleaner, neater fold. Then I glued the pocket onto the card base.

  3. Tags:

I initially planned to use a small tag I cut on the Cricut, but later changed my mind and wanted a larger one. Since I’d already packed my Cricut away (yes, it has a dust cover—Middle East problems: dust and sand everywhere!), I reached for my tag die and Sizzix to cut out the perfect size.

  4. Assembly:

Once all pieces were ready, I glued the layered panels onto both the card and the tags. Don’t forget to glue the tag pockets too!

  5. Embellish!

I dressed up the final design with floral embellishments, two types of ribbon, pearl sticks, and of course, my Polkadoodles digi stamp. These sweet details really brought the whole project to life.

This little pocket card makes a perfect gift tag, mini card, or special keepsake—and with those layered papers and hand-colored digi, it’s bursting with handmade charm. Hope it inspires your next crafty adventure!

Happy Planner Layout | Color Me Happy Sticker Book

Next weekend kicks off my birthday month celebration and the start of our long-awaited vacation—which called for the happiest, most colorful planner spread I could imagine! I reached for my Happy Planner Color Me Happy sticker book, and it did not disappoint.

This Week’s Spread

I filled my pages with all the feels:

  • “grateful for small things, big things, and everything in between”

  • “I’m every share of happy!”

  • “stay color full”

  • “color me happy”

  • “happy happy happy happy happy happy”

These bright sentiments perfectly capture my mood as I countdown to birthday fun and packing for sunshine.

Workshop Recap & New Cricut Nook

The other day I joined a fun painting workshop—read the full recap here! And since we were already in Khobar, I decided to finally cleare out my dresser and roll in a new table on wheels for my Cricut machines (thank you, Cricut MEA!). It’s so handy to move around, and now that it’s freed up, my DT paper and embellishment boxes sit out of the way on my old dresser top. Look at all that clear workspace—and more room for Lucky to lounge while I craft! Bonus: my Distress Oxides no longer against the wall, which I think dries them up.

Check out how they looked before here.

What I’m Reading

As I mentioned on last week’s layout blog, I will start reading again so Ton and I picked up Say You’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez where we left off—and I just finished The Girls Who Disappeared. Now I’m diving into Then She Vanishes, both by Claire Douglas—her blurbs caught my eye at Jarir, so of course I grabbed the ebook! That's what I do when deciding what to read - go to the bookstore and read on blurbs or checkout my fave reading Facebook groups.

Last Week’s Projects Round-Up

I’ve decided to share my previous week’s makes alongside each planner spread. Here’s what kept me busy recently:

Plus, I put my new and more convenient Cricut location inspired me to work on scrapbook titles for our summer trip: Alaska and Cruise Mode On are ready for the trip and scrapbook!

Saturday Painting Workshop | Let’s Paint a Beach Escape!

I joined a nice little painting workshop yesterday and had such a good time! I saw the poster for the “Let’s Paint a Beach Escape Workshop” in one of my Women’s Group chats on WhatsApp and signed up right away. Sometimes spontaneous plans are the best ones!

The workshop was held at Eggs’o Café in Al Khobar. I didn’t get to take photos of the place or try anything from the menu since we had lunch at Raising Cane’s just before heading over. I also arrived just in time before the session started, and since we were on the second floor while the counter was downstairs, I didn’t want to miss anything. But we’ll have another class next weekend, so I’ll definitely make time to explore the café then!

The class itself was so enjoyable — very beginner-friendly and easy to follow. Fizza, our instructor, was super clear and made everything approachable. It was a mixed-age class with both kids and adults. I shared a table with an adult and a teenager, so I didn’t feel too pressured if a little kid outpainted me at another table. hehe!

The best part? It only cost SAR 30 (roughly ₱450 / $8), and that already included shared materials, your own canvas, and even a small snack at the end. Such a great deal for a relaxing and creative afternoon!

Below are some photos showing how my beach painting slowly came to life — from blank canvas to a serene escape. (I wanted to draw a shark though! hahaha)

If you’re in the area or just want to follow a talented artist, check out Fizza on Instagram: @customcalligra_fiShe creates beautiful Islamic paintings, custom artworks, and regularly conducts art workshops — plus, she ships worldwide!

Looking forward to the next class already!

Digi Choosday Project | Platform Pop-up Card : Polkadoodles Girl Power Edition!

For this week’s Digi Choosday, I’m sharing a super fun and empowering project—a platform pop-up card featuring a female runner digi stamp from Polkadoodles. Because, girl power! If you want to recreate this card, I’ve listed all the materials I used and included step-by-step instructions below. Let’s get crafty!

Materials Used

  • Sizzix Big Shot

  • Cricut Maker

  • Bearly Art Glue

  • Glue Gun

  • Ribbon

  • Cardstock

  • Sequins

  • Lawn Fawn Platform Pop-Up Dies

  • Rosie’s Studio Simply Charming Puffy Alphabet

  • Ohuhu Alcohol Markers

Polkadoodles Printables:

Instructions

1. Prepare Your Base

  • Choose your pattern paper from the Winnie Let’s Hangout bundle. I love that this die fits a 6x6 sheet perfectly!

  • Die cut 2 pieces of the platform base.

  • With the leftover scraps, cut 3 pieces of the T-shaped insert.

Tip: You can use just 1 or 2 T inserts, but I like having 3 ready in case I want to add more decorative elements.

2. Assemble the Platform

  • Fold along all score lines on both the platform bases and 2 of the T-shaped inserts.

  • Insert one T into the slit of one platform base.

  • Apply glue to the small rectangle flap on the T.

  • Fold the platform so the T flap sticks to the second row from the scalloped top—this becomes your platform “floor.”

  • Apply glue to the bottom edge of the platform and fold it again so it attaches to the top row with the scallop.

Repeat this process for the second platform base and T-shaped piece.

  • For the third T: Trim off the bottom rectangle and glue this piece to the back wall of one platform.

3. Connect the Platforms

  • Glue the side tab of one platform base to the back edge of the other.

  • Make sure the sides are perfectly aligned. You can fold the structure flat to check alignment.

  • Apply glue to the center section of the base to sandwich the T-insert, but leave space unglued if you plan to insert a finish line like I did!

4. Decorate Your Card

  • Finish Line: I cut the arch using my Cricut. Glue the layers together.

  • Use puffy alphabet stickers to spell “FINISH” across the top.

  • Runner Digi: Color your runner image with Ohuhu markers.

  • Glue the finish line arch to the middle of the platform.

  • Attach your ribbon across the finish line arch.

Make sure it’s aligned around the waist of your digi—not too high or it will be on her face level.

  • Once secured, cut the ribbon in the center to give the effect that she already crossed the finish line.

5. Finishing Touches

  • Glue the colored runner to the front T-shaped insert.

  • Add your sentiment—mine says “It’s your time to shine” from Wanda Messages and Quotes, printed and cut using my Cricut.

  • Scatter some sequins for a confetti celebration vibe!
