Cardmaking Fun: My Rosie’s Studio World Card Making Day Win

This year, I joined in Rosie's Studio's World Card Making Day celebration and had fun creating with some of my favorite collections! Since I rarely use my RS collections, I didn't feel bad using so many embellishment on each card because I don't think I will finish them in the next months, or probably year!

Here are the cards I made:

Celebrate You – a cheerful layered card with the cutest party hat embellishment and bright ephemera pieces.

Better Together – a sweet and simple card perfect for celebrating love and friendship.

Brand New Day – featuring the journaling card “All things grow with love,” a gentle reminder that beauty blooms with care.

Work of Heart – this one’s special! I’d already used up most of this collection for a personal album, but that’s what I love about cardmaking — even a few scraps and ephemera can turn into something wonderful.

And the best part? aghhhhhh!!!! I’m beyond thrilled to share that I won Rosie’s Studio World Card Making Day Challenge, a month-long celebration full of creativity, inspiration and just card making! Now I know why I forgot to blog about this - I was subconsciously waiting for the winner announcement so that I can include me winning! haha!

Can’t wait to show you everything I received from them — stay tuned for the goodies reveal!

Mintay World Card Making Day 2025

I always enjoy joining Mintay’s challenges because they teach me something every time, especially when it comes to knowing when to stop. Mintay’s papers are so full of detail and beauty that it’s tempting to keep adding more layers and embellishments. But at the same time, their elegant designs can stand beautifully on its own. Every project reminds me to find that balance. I also love how Mintay’s style is a little different from what I usually make — it’s more refined and a bit over the top beautiful, which makes me explore a different side of my creativity. I usually like making cutesy projects.

Doodlebug World Card Making Day Challenge 2025

It’s that time of the year again — World Card Making Day!

This is my second year joining Doodlebug’s fun celebration, and of course, I couldn’t resist creating a few colorful projects for their special challenges! Tbh, I only get to use my Doodlebug stash for their challenges because, well, mahal! Haha!

I actually won last year (yay!), but sadly, the prize never reached me — it was returned to sender when it arrived in the Saudi Post Office. Oh well, trying my luck again this year!

Here are my projects for each challenge:

Sketch Challenge

A colorful card filled with happy buttons and a lovely cut-apart that says “Take time to do whatever makes you happy.” Because that’s exactly what crafting is for me!

Mood Board Challenge

I made a cute pocket card featuring the sweetest cat Doodle-Pop as the star. A little dose of paw-sitivity inspired by the color palette!

One Color Challenge

I went all pink for this one — different shades, cute patterns, and a sweet sentiment that says “You color my world.” Since it’s pink, of course it had to be la vie en rose (our wedding first dance song!)

Rainbow Challenge

For the last challenge, I had fun figuring out the best way to use my new rainbow dies — and I ended up making four cards instead of one (I wanted to use all rays for each pattern paper). All the cards turned out bright, colorful, and full of happy Doodlebug energy!

You can check out my projects from last year’s challenge here — still some of my favorites!

If you want to join in the fun, the challenge is open until October 11, so you still have a few days to create something Doodlebug cuteness!

Thanks for stopping by! Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram and Facebook for more crafty fun and colorful inspiration.
