Hi everyone! For this week’s Digi Choosday, our DT prompt is to create a card that’s not a square or rectangle - so I went with something a little extra special: a butterfly-shaped card! 🦋 Even better, I’m also sharing the Design Space link so you can recreate this exact design.
For this project, I used Polkadoodles’ Blooms 3 Flower Bundle. I’ve been wanting to use this collection for the longest time - sunflowers are my favorite (they were even our wedding flowers!), so this felt extra special to make. I just love with the colors, florals, and patterned papers of this collection, and I already know I’ll be reaching for this set again soon.
If you’re using a Cricut, you can access my Design Space project here and follow along easily.
The process is simple and beginner-friendly:
1. Cut all the card pieces using your Cricut (I used my Cricut Maker).
2. Fold along the scoreline of the butterfly base then adhere the patterned paper layer to the front. And that’s it! A quick but eye-catching shaped card!
I hope this inspires you to try something different with your card shapes. Don’t forget to join the Digi Choosday Anything Goes challenge - We’d love to see what you create!
