Digi Choosday Project | Christmas Mini Album featuring Polkadoodles Pretty Poinsettia

This week’s Digi Choosday prompt is  Christmas , and what better way to get ahead on the festive spirit than by creating a mini album! I made this using simple binding rings, which makes it super easy to put together — and even easier to add more pages later on as needed. I used  Polkadoodles’ Pretty Poinsettia  for the gorgeous Christmas florals and paired it with  Christmas Printable Paper Patterns 2 for the pages. This combo gave it that classic festive Christmas vibe with lots of room to personalize!  Materials Used: White cardstock (3 sheets A4) Patterned Paper:  Polkadoodles Christmas Printable Paper Patterns 2 Digi Stamps/Ephemera:  Polkadoodles Pretty Poinsettia   Corrugated board Ribbons and trims Pearl sticks Stencil + Palette Knife Aleene’s Glitter Snow Distress Oxide Spray –  Salvage Patina White Acrylic Paint Surebonder Glue Gun Bearly Art Precision Glue Cutterpillar Pro Paper Trimmer Cutterpillar Crease Score Board We R Memory ...

Polkadoodles Project - Kicking Off Christmas with a Clear Front Easel Card

First Christmas card of the year — check! I’m officially diving into festive crafting, and what better way to start than with a sparkly, interactive  easel clear front card ? I love how this one turned out. For this project, I combined die cutting, digital stamps, and a bit of dimension to create a unique card that’s both sturdy and see-through (yes, acetate powers!). Here’s how I made it and everything I used: Supplies Used: Plain cardstock (blue) Acetate sheet Glitter cardstock Lawn Fawn  – Snow Flurries Backdrop dies Sizzix Big Shot Ohuhu Markers Foam tape Bearly Art Precision Glue Cricut Maker Polkadoodles Digi Stamp  – Winnie White Christmas Polkadoodles Sentiment  – Seasons Greetings Paper trimmer 🛠️ How I Made It: Cut the acetate  to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. Die cut your glitter cardstock  using any border die you like. I used Lawn Fawn’s  Snow Flurries Backdrop  for a pretty, intricate and sparkly touch. Cut plain cardstock to 4 1/4 x 11 inc...

Weekly Happy Planner Layout | Live Creatively + Color Me Happy

After two weeks, I think my body might  finally  be easing back into its regular sleeping pattern. But honestly, it’s been weird - like, fall-asleep-after-dinner-at-6:00pm weird. Then wake up at midnight, struggle to sleep again, and only doze off between 4:00-6:00am. Not exactly ideal, especially for my husband who has to be at work by 8:00am. Last night though, I managed a semi-normal 10:00pm to 4:00am stretch - still early, but better! I even tried to read after waking up, but that just made me lose all my sleepiness. The funny part is, this doesn’t even feel like Seattle jet lag anymore - it’s more like Philippines time. Which made me think of our Malaysia trip (that was just a few days long and a month ago already!). I guess I’m just weird - my jet lag is weird too.  So here I am at 6:30am, blogging about this week’s planner spread. For this week, I reached for my  Happy Planner Live Creatively sticker book , since I’ve been pushing myself to catch up on DT proj...
Bahrain Weekend Getaway! We had a quick Friday-to-Saturday getaway in Bahrain for a little pork, a relaxing massage, and some hangout time with work friends. Since we’re expats in Saudi, we need an  exit/re-entry permit  whenever we travel outside the country. This permit is valid for a certain period (ours was three months), and because you pay for it regardless of how many times you use it, the smart way is to make the most of it. During this permit’s validity, we were lucky enough to travel to  Jordan, Malaysia, Abu Dhabi, Seattle, Alaska, and now Bahrain ! Our next permit will cover our trip home to Manila in December, plus maybe one or two more quick Bahrain visits. Even though we’ve been to Bahrain many times, I had to keep up my Cricut scrapbook title tradition and make one for Bahrain too. We didn’t get the best photo of the building we wanted, but I’ll share the title here anyway. You can also find it on my Cricut Design Space profile if you’d like to use...
