For this week’s Digi Choosday project, I made a fun and easy Autumn Wood Slice Decor using Polkadoodles’ Autumn Fall Fox digi stamp. This is a great way to use up paper scraps and ribbons in warm fall colors—and it makes for a charming seasonal display piece!
Materials Used:
Polkadoodles Digi Stamp: Autumn Fall Fox
Wood Slice
Ohuhu Alcohol Markers (Colors used: YR070, Y4, Y10, YR7, YR5, GY4, GY3, CGII00, R2, R8)
Cricut Maker
Paper Scraps – yellow, orange, brown, red hues
Trims and Ribbons – autumn shades (approx. 3 inches each)
Surebonder Glue Gun
Cardboard (for dimension)
Instructions:
Color your digi stamp using autumn-inspired tones. I used Ohuhu alcohol markers: YR070, Y4, Y10, YR7, YR5, GY4, GY3, CGII00, R2, R8
Glue lace or trim to the edge of your wood slice using a hot glue gun to secure it.
Mount the digi stamp in the center. Only glue the middle section so you can tuck embellishments underneath. I added a piece of stick behind the fox to raise it slightly.
Cut autumn leaves with your Cricut from paper scraps. I used a set of autumn lovely leaves file I found in Cricut Design Space.
Tuck the leaves under the fox to add layers and depth.
Create a ribbon bundle by tying 3-inch trims together and gluing them to the top of the wood slice.
That’s it—a cozy handmade decor piece perfect for welcoming the season!

Time for the animals to gather food for the winter or migration for others. It's the time of year when trees would shed but even with the lack of leaves to shade us from the sun, nature is still kind that the temperature is still cooler than summer.
ReplyDeleteYour Autumn Wood Slice Decor presents a cheerful salute to Autumn.
As for the Northern Hemisphere, incorporating the fox design and the pumpkin trimmed with orange and brown ribbons not just show the season but the holidays associated with it. "Feed two birds with one scone" as the saying goes.
It's appropriately designed for Autumn and Halloween.
