14 Days, 14 Cards | Craft with Sarah’s Card Making Countdown | June 1–14, 2025

I just wrapped up Craft with Sarah’s Card Making Countdown, and as always, it was a blast! 14 days, 14 different cards—and 14 chances to play with all things paper, glue, Cricut, and practicing my alcohol markers coloring!

I’ve joined a few of Sarah’s countdowns in the past—like her Christmas Countdown and Gnome Countdowns—and they never fail to spark creativity. I actually learned my Cricut basics through her tutorials and blog posts. She makes everything beginner-friendly and so much fun. I especially love how she adds in little challenges with each project—I’ve even been lucky enough to win a few times (three and counting!).

This year’s countdown was extra memorable. I managed to finish 6 cards before we left for our Jordan trip, then jumped right back in to complete the rest once we got home. I skipped Day 7 (Add-a-Number Cards) because I didn’t want to make a card for a specific age or anniversary, but here’s a look at the rest of my creations:

 Day 1 – Rocker Cards

My first ever rocker card! I used Polkadoodles’ Rebel Pretty Pattern Papers, Honeypie Love Heart digi stamp and added a sentiment "Have the best birthday ever" from their Winnie Daisy Everyday Greetings and Quotes.

Day 2 – Decorative Borders

Bright, happy, and full of florals thanks to Polkadoodles’ Lily Lady Bug and Rebel Pretty patterned paper. That scalloped border was such a simple way to level up the design!

Day 3 – Z Fold Cards

A Z-fold layout using sentiments from Rebel Messages with attitude, Shopping Wanda digi stamp, Rebel printable papers - all from Polkadoodles. I loved how cute and full of cute attitude this card turned out! hihih!

Day 4 – Flower Box Display Cards

It’s a garden in card form! This one was made with Polkadoodles' Rebel Pretty Pattern Paper, Just Lovely Honeypie digi stamp, and sentiments from Winnie Daisy Fairy Everyday Greetings and Quotes —definitely one of my faves from the countdown.

Day 5 – Pinwheel Tower Cards

I finally tried a pinwheel card using Polkadoodles’ Rebel Pretty Pattern Paper, Love Bird digi stamp, and a cute "what the fluff" sentiment from Rebel Messages with attitude. Definitely a card with four sides of crafty goodness!

Day 6 – Mirage Cards

Lucky the cat makes another appearance—this time in a mirage card with baby vs. grown-up photos. I added a Polkadoodles cat digi stamp from the Purr-fect Kitty Cat Wishes digis set for the pop-up inside and a birthday background from the Wanda Printable Paper collection.

(skipped) Day 7 – Add-a-Number Cards

Skipped this one since I didn’t need a birthday or milestone card right now and I don't like to keep one in my handmade stash.

Day 8 – Card in a Card

A double-layered card using Polkadoodles’ Happy Cactus Succulent pattern paper and the punny sentiment: “Needles to say you’re the best ever” from the Lovely Honeypie Greetings. I also Cricut-cut a little cactus to embellish!

Day 9 – Cascade Cards

This cascading card was all about fun with the Bananas ‘Bout Ya sentiment and monkey digistamps from Polkadoodles. Colored the monkey with markers.

Day 10 – Turn the Wheel Cards

Featuring Fairy Ballerina Wanda from Polkadoodles, colored with Ohuhu markers and floral background from Wanda printable pattern papers. Spin the wheel to reveal hidden sentiments from Wanda Messages and Quotes collection.

Day 11 – Faux Stained Glass Cards

Polkadoodles’ Winnie Sunshine Delight digi stamp gave this stained glass card extra pop. I colored the acetate with Ohuhu markers that translucent stained glass effect—it looks so pretty in the light! The sentiment "spread sunshine" is from Rebel Greetings.

Day 12 – Pop-Out Gift Card Holders

Functional and cute - gift card holder! Used Polkadoodles’ Enfys Jetsetting Digis and polkadot pattern paper, cute sentiment "please accept this card as a token of my poverty" from the cute collection of Wanda's messages and quotes.

Day 13 – Castle Cards

A Cricut-cut castle card layered with Polkadoodles’ Wizard Magic digis and sparkles! I went full fairy tale on this one!

Day 14 – Word Circle Cards

Finished strong with a bold circular sentiment cut file embellished with Polkadoodles' Cutiepie Honeypie and Cricut-cut balloons. It was the perfect finale!

10 Years Married: From 8AM Vows to Riyadh City Lights

I t feels like just yesterday when we said  I do  at 8AM — and I still remember thinking,  Why didn’t we make it 9 instead? Haha. But here we are, a decade into marriage, 14 years together, and living this unexpected chapter of our lives in Saudi Arabia. Watch our SDE here !💙 Currently, we’re based in  Al Ahsa , one of the oldest provinces in Saudi. For those unfamiliar, think of it as the  probinsya  version of Saudi — calm, rich in heritage, and definitely far from the city buzz. So for our 10th anniversary, we decided to shake (yesss - shake! lol) things up a bit and drive to  Riyadh , the capital. Imagine two  probinsyanas  from some quiet part of the Philippines heading to Manila — that was the vibe. The Road to Riyadh My favorite road sign! haha! We left Al Ahsa around 10AM and arrived in Riyadh a little past 1PM. (Yes, that’s 3+ hours on the road!) With check-in at the  Four Seasons Hotel  only starting at 4PM —  4PM, c...

All the Cricut MEA Prizes I’ve Won (So Far!)

I still remember the first time I joined Cricut MEA’s Ramadan Challenges back in March 2024. I was so excited to take part daily — crafting along with the community for almost 25 days straight — until I was told that Saudi Arabia couldn’t join. 😢 Fast forward to December 2024, and everything changed! Cricut MEA officially opened up the challenges to Saudi residents — and I didn’t waste a second. I jumped right into their Christmas Countdown Challenges, and from then on, I’ve joined every single challenge they’ve hosted. December 2024 January 2025 February 2025 March 2025 And now… LOOK AT THIS LOOT! 😍 Watch my unboxing reel here. A huge, heartfelt thank you to Cricut and Monster Middle East for organizing such fun and inspiring events. My crafty heart is full, and my shelves… well, they might be full too. 😅 And of course, none of this would be possible without my husband, who has been 100% supportive of all my crafty adventures from day one. ❤️️ Stay tuned — I’ll be sharing more of w...

Happy Cutie-versary, Kelly Bangs!

Can you believe it’s been  five whole years  of Cutie craftiness?! Kelly Bangs is celebrating her 5th Cutie-versary, and as the Design Squad is joining in on the fun!   To mark the occasion, I made a mini album using a mix of some of my favorite Cutie-versary elements — like the adorable Cutie Pie trophies, Florals Greatest Hits (for florals are forever a fave!), The Shape Parade (tags and squares), Mini Guest Checks, and those sweet Scout Friends. It’s a cheerful little project that made me smile from start to finish… even with a  tiny  hiccup. Here’s the funny part: I finished decorating all the inside pages first — each one carefully layered with a piece from The Shape Parade (square) then I went ahead and glued the cover on  upside down.  😅 So now all the pages (especially the ones with the letters and number print) are technically flipped. But honestly? That’s one of the things I love most about crafting — the little mistakes that turn into happ...
