This week’s Digi Choosday prompt is Christmas, and what better way to get ahead on the festive spirit than by creating a mini album! I made this using simple binding rings, which makes it super easy to put together — and even easier to add more pages later on as needed.
I used Polkadoodles’ Pretty Poinsettia for the gorgeous Christmas florals and paired it with Christmas Printable Paper Patterns 2 for the pages. This combo gave it that classic festive Christmas vibe with lots of room to personalize!

Instructions:
Base Pages:
Cut 3 A4 sheets of white cardstock to 4 1/4” x 5 1/2” – this gives you 12 base pieces.
Patterned Layers:
Cut 22 pieces of patterned paper (mixed designs) to 4 1/8” x 5 3/8”.
Round the Corners:
I used R10mm on the white cardstock and R7mm for the patterned paper for a nice layered effect.
Adhere the Layers:
Choose your front and back covers first. Adhere your chosen designs to 2 of the white cardstock pieces. Then glue the rest of the patterned papers back-to-back on the remaining cardstock bases, making sure the orientation matches up if your papers have directional designs.
Decorate the Cover:
Stencil parts of the front cover with Aleene’s Glitter Snow for a sparkly, snowy look. Let dry.
Spray Salvage Patina Distress Oxide Spray lightly over the stenciled area. Let dry.
Cut a piece of corrugated board to 1” x 5 3/8” Drag the blade edge of your scissors gently along the cardboard to roughen the surface and achieve a distressed, vintage look. Then paint it white.
Glue the corrugated strip to your cover.
Add flowers, pearl sticks, and ribbon to finish the design.
Binding and Final Touches:
Punch holes and use binding rings to hold your pages together.
Tie on ribbons and trims to the rings for that handmade feel.
And just like that — you have a beautiful, mini album that’s perfect for photos, journaling, or gifting! You can keep adding pages as the season rolls on.

Born and raised in the Philippines as evidenced by the tradition of -ber months as start of the Christmas season. The Poinsettia or
ReplyDelete"Flor de Nochebuena" in Mexico , "English Flower of the Holy Night " or "Christmas Eve Flower " as the English translation, was associated with Christmas because of a story about a Mexican girl who presented a bouquet of weeds to the baby Jesus and it transformed into Poinsettias as it was placed before the crib.
Another reason why it is considered the Christmas flower is because it resembles the star of Bethlehem. As it goes, the poinsettia symbolizes love, hope and goodwill.
It was great that you did not use the usual most popular color of red for the flowers. Pink is more subtle and did not undermine the other Christmas symbols like the snowflakes background.
The idea of using binding rings for future page add-ons
was clever.
Indeed , another beautiful project!
