It’s November!!! This week's Happy Planner Layout

This week’s Happy Planner layout is flowery — because, well, people in Manila are currently bringing flowers to the cemetery for All Saints’ and All Souls’ Day. Haha! Joke lang. What actually happened was: what I  wanted  for this layout didn’t quite work out, so I ended up adding flowers and leaves instead. Hence, that curved floral thingy smacked right in the middle of the spread. Such an  ugh  layout, but oh wells. I used the  Happy Memory Keeping Floral Memories  and  The Encourager  sticker books for this week’s spread. Sentiment for the week:   Girl, you are super amazing. Crafty things I worked on last week  I finally turned my  Bee Happy Weeklies Aall & Create “paper dolls”  into cards ! It was a little #Inktober inspired project I worked on one afternoon just so I could play with my Distress Oxides again. I made a  hybrid scrapbook layout  for  Traci Reed’s Sketchy Sunday  — it’s a layout for my...

This Week’s Happy Planner Layout | Sticker Books Used: Graceful Heart & Today is the Day by The Happy Planner

This week’s spread is a little extra compared to my usual layouts — I went all out with the florals (walang tipid-tipid sa pretty stickers!). The past two weeks’ journaling wasn’t so consistent, so my spreads ended up looking a bit empty. I’m not planning to be lazy again (okay fine, maybe just busy), but just in case — I filled this week’s pages with lots of stickers already. Hehe. I wanted something bright and cheerful to match the good vibes I’m manifesting for the week ahead and just a little pick me upper.

My featured sentiments this week are:

🌸 “Be so good they can’t ignore you.”

🌸 “Happy.”

🌸 “Create your own adventure.”

And a special “Hello Weekend” sticker because we’re going back to Bahrain! So expect a Bahrain recap on next week’s planner layout.

Crafty Wins and Projects

Last week, I won another Cricut MEA Challenge - this time for their Diwali Challenge! 🪔 It’s probably my 2nd or 3rd time winning something I didn’t overthink. I just repurposed a floral card I made into a candle mat/place card combo - functional and pretty! Meanwhile, the project I did overthink (my Message of Hope entry) didn’t win, but it did get featured on Cricut MEA’s Instagram, so that’s still a win in my book.

Apart from Cricut, I finished two Kat Scrappiness projects — sharing one of them here this week! I also made more paper flowers for another Cricut challenge, and they’ll be part of my display for the Winter Bazaar next month. I’ve also been making handmade envelopes for my odd-sized cards using my trusty 5-year-old We R Memory Keepers 1-2-3 Punch Board. It still works like magic!

For my Bee Happy Paper Doll weeklies, I played with Aall & Create's quirky little stamp girlies. They’re so weird they do a full 360° and end up looking cute! I haven’t decided how I’ll use them yet, but for now, I’m just happy looking at them.

Miqueka Scrap Mini Album

Yayyy for my first scheduled/assigned days to post under the Miqueka Scrap Design Team!  I was able to share two nice reels of my Bienvenido Otoño Mini Album, and I’m so happy with how they turned out. I’m currently working on the step-by-step tutorial, which I’ll link here once it’s ready.

See the other photos here

Watch the process "video" reel here

Read the blog tutorial here (coming in the next few hours)!

Winter Market Prep

DIY signages are done too! They were made entirely from leftover boards Ton used for my Distress Oxide organizer (read about it here) and my printer — no extra cost! They look so legit, I’m thrilled with how they turned out.

I also sorted and priced my cards — we decided to go with 2 for SAR 103 for SAR 20, and so on depending on the product type. I’ve invited some friends to the Winter Market, and they’re pretty excited to join us!

Remember the mini album I mentioned on my Malaysia blog — the one that got wet? I finally remade it! I’ll be bringing it home to Manila this December for my family, but I’ll also be displaying it at the Winter Market so people can see how nice old school memory keeping is once the photos are added to the albums I'll be selling.

Christmas Countdown

Only 65 days to go before Christmas!

We’ve already ticked off 14 people on our Christmas list. Last Friday’s errand day turned into an early gift-shopping spree. We found nice presents for my girl cousins and a few close friends.

Currently Reading & Random Joys

Reading: Finished The Last House on Needless Street. It was quite a slowwwwwww burn. I read so many people raving about it, so I pushed through. The twist was good, but it took a long while to get there. After finishing, I immediately looked up discussions online because I wasn’t sure how I felt! Let’s just say… it’s hauntingly weird but so-so worth the wait. I read that they will have a film adaptation and I'm looking forward to it. Maybe it will be better. And yes, just 1 book this week. haha

Food: I’ve been loving taking photos of my home-cooked meals because honestly, they look and taste restaurant-worthy!  I always tell myself they could compete with Filipino restos here in Saudi. Hehe!

DIY shawarma at home.

2 kinds of Adobo - with and without chicken liver

Beef Pares

Chopsuey

Chicken Inasal

Friday dinner was extra special — Ton made steak!

Chicken Tocino

That’s it for this week’s planner update and life bits!

I’m off to fill these pages with more memories (and probably more stickers hahaha).

See you next week for my Bahrain spread and more crafty adventures!

Mini Album with Tags | Polkadoodles Project

I had so fun creating this sweet little  Mini Album with Tags  using Polkadoodles printable goodies - it was fun and relaxing. This project is simple and it’s super versatile too. I designed the base cut file myself using  Cricut Design Space , and if you’re using DS, you can grab the file right here . It’s a great starting point if you’re looking for a quick and easy project with lots of room for personalization. For the papers, I used the  Happy Cactus Succulent Printable Papers  from Polkadoodles. The cheerful colors (my fave colors too!) and patterns are perfect for a spring or summer vibe. I paired them with solid cardstock for structure, using it for both the base and the tags tucked inside. The sentiment on the bellyband— “Hi, You” —comes from the  Honeypie Greetings Sentiment  pack. It’s such a simple but sweet message that works for just about any occasion. To finish it off, I tied a cute  polkadot ribbon on the tags  for a little e...

Polkadoodles Project - Kicking Off Christmas with a Clear Front Easel Card

First Christmas card of the year — check! I’m officially diving into festive crafting, and what better way to start than with a sparkly, interactive  easel clear front card ? I love how this one turned out. For this project, I combined die cutting, digital stamps, and a bit of dimension to create a unique card that’s both sturdy and see-through (yes, acetate powers!). Here’s how I made it and everything I used: Supplies Used: Plain cardstock (blue) Acetate sheet Glitter cardstock Lawn Fawn  – Snow Flurries Backdrop dies Sizzix Big Shot Ohuhu Markers Foam tape Bearly Art Precision Glue Cricut Maker Polkadoodles Digi Stamp  – Winnie White Christmas Polkadoodles Sentiment  – Seasons Greetings Paper trimmer 🛠️ How I Made It: Cut the acetate  to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. Die cut your glitter cardstock  using any border die you like. I used Lawn Fawn’s  Snow Flurries Backdrop  for a pretty, intricate and sparkly touch. Cut plain cardstock to 4 1/4 x 11 inc...

Digi Choosday Project | Gratitude Journaling Folio with Polkadoodles Autumn Fall Fox

Digi Choosday Project | Gratitude Journaling Folio with Polkadoodles Autumn Fall Fox   This week’s Digi Choosday prompt is  Halloween / Autumn , and while I initially planned on making just one Halloween project, I couldn’t help but want to do an Autumn-inspired one too. So… here’s my second project: a  Gratitude Journaling Folio  featuring the adorable  Autumn Fall Foxes  from Polkadoodles!  This folio is actually a  one-page wonder  design, but I saw the perfect patterned papers in the  Boo Halloween Paper Digital Bundle  and  Enfys Jetsetting Digital Stamp Bundle —so I ended up layering extra panels inside. If you’re recreating this, feel free to stick with a single 12x12 patterned paper, or go wild like I did!  The  cover  is a mixed media combo of a paper doily, trims, flowers, one of the Autumn Fox digi stamps, and the word  “Grateful.”  Inside, I added more sweet words like  “Thankful” ...
