Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Project | Mother’s Day Coupon Book in Pretty Pinks and featuring Bella Bear

This week’s Digi Choosday prompt is Mother’s Day or Mom’s Birthday, paired with a color palette of pinks and I knew I wanted to create something meaningful, heartfelt, and easy to recreate.

For this project, I made a Mother’s Day Coupon Book, a small gift that’s big on love. It’s one of those presents that doesn’t rely on spending a lot, but instead focuses on time, effort, and thoughtfulness, which honestly makes it even more special. 

Project Inspiration

This coupon book is filled with little promises, sweet gestures, and moments just for mom. Whether it’s a helping hand, quality time, or a well-deserved break, these coupons are meant to be redeemed for love and with no expiration date required.

Design Process

I mainly worked on Canva to design both the cover and the coupon pages, which made the process super fun and easy. For the background papers, I used Polkadoodles’ Winnie Celebrations 2 Papers, keeping everything soft, feminine, and perfectly pink.

For the cover, I added the ever adorable Bella Bear Morning Coffee Digi Stamp, which fits the cozy, caring theme so well because moms deserve their quiet coffee moments too (check out the coupons later!)

This coupon book includes 10 coupons, but you can absolutely add more depending on how thick (and how love-filled!) you want your booklet to be.

Instructions

1. Design your coupon pages and cover using Canva (or any design app you prefer). You can use my coupon ideas or create your own personalized ones.

   
   
   

2. Once done, print your pages and cover in your preferred size.

   My coupon booklet measures 4.5 x 6.25 inches, which allows two pages per A4 sheet.

   
   
   
   

3. Cut all pages using your paper trimmer.

4. Optional but very cute: add perforated lines to each coupon. I used my Bee Happy 12-in-1 Trimmer to do this.

   
   
   
   
   
   
   

5. Trim two pieces of acetate the same size as your pages, these will be the front and back covers.

   
   
   

6. Trim a strip of paper for the binding cover.

   • The length should match the height of your booklet

   • The width depends on how thick your booklet is

   • Score the strip to create fold guides

     
     
     
     

7. Add a strip of glue strip inside the binding cover, trimming it if needed so it fits neatly.

   
   
   

8. Hold everything together using binding clips.

10. Allow the binding to cool completely.

This Mother’s Day (or for mom’s birthday), sometimes the sweetest gifts are the ones made by hand and filled with love.
