It’s November!!! This week's Happy Planner Layout

This week’s Happy Planner layout is flowery — because, well, people in Manila are currently bringing flowers to the cemetery for All Saints’ and All Souls’ Day. Haha! Joke lang. What actually happened was: what I  wanted  for this layout didn’t quite work out, so I ended up adding flowers and leaves instead. Hence, that curved floral thingy smacked right in the middle of the spread. Such an  ugh  layout, but oh wells. I used the  Happy Memory Keeping Floral Memories  and  The Encourager  sticker books for this week’s spread. Sentiment for the week:   Girl, you are super amazing. Crafty things I worked on last week  I finally turned my  Bee Happy Weeklies Aall & Create “paper dolls”  into cards ! It was a little #Inktober inspired project I worked on one afternoon just so I could play with my Distress Oxides again. I made a  hybrid scrapbook layout  for  Traci Reed’s Sketchy Sunday  — it’s a layout for my...

Kelly Bangs’ September Collection – Charm School

As a Potterhead, I am loving this collection! It all begins with a sorting into different houses using a quiz Kelly designed herself. Many in the Design Squad were sorted into The House of Winnie, described as “those who seem quiet yet have a bright spirit.” I myself was sorted in the House of Winnie — and I am not complaining. It’s me to a T!

This collection is a little different — it’s interactive! It starts with the Charm School Quiz and an Admission Kit. If you’d like to be sorted, you can take the free quiz here:

 Charm School Quiz

Here’s the little Admission Kit I made for the House of Winnie, using the admission packet I received.

As always, the full collection is massive — packed with die cuts, ephemera, journaling cards, and patterned papers. My favorites are always the flowers, and the Charm School flower set did not disappoint

If you’re new to my blog or socials, my very first project with each of Kelly’s collections is always a 5 x 6.5 mini album. For Charm School, I added lace and Little Birdie flowers to make it extra special and pretty. Out of all the albums I’ve made so far, I think this one has the most tuck spots and pockets!

A little side story about these Little Birdie flowers…

On my birthday, my mom surprised me with a big bundle of them in all sorts of styles and colors. I loved that she remembered me asking if she could bring some back from her trip to India earlier this year.

Of course, when I opened the gift, I couldn’t help but tease her: “Ito ata yung mga binili ko sa Shopee eh!" ("Are these the same Little Birdie packs I ordered from Shopee").

I also had fun using my We R Memory Keeper’s frame puncher — it made creating frames so much easier and faster! I used to cut them manually, which sometimes made me too lazy to add as many frames as I wanted. Not anymore! Haha!

On top of that, I joined Mommy Guide Inc’s Stashtember Challenges, where we use supplies from our stash that we bought but never used. For Day 1, I created a mixed media art journal spread with Charm School — and it was so much fun! Check out the whole September prompts here!

Here's my #Stashtember2025 project for the Day 1 Oldest, never used stamps - Not the absolute oldest in terms of stamps, but definitely one of the veterans of my stash — Lawn Fawn Quinn’s ABCs finally got inked! Paired it with another first-timer, Paige Evans’ Floral set, on a mixed media journal spread of my KBC Charm School Admission Kit (yes, complete with a little paper doll of me!).

New-to-me supplies I played with today:

  • Ohuhu Honolulu B markers
  • Distress Spritz
  • Masking technique (used on “Charm School,” Winnie & the sunflowers!)

Day 1 done — and it feels so good to finally give these stamps some love! I will make a separate blog about this by the end of the month but since this is Charm School related, I'm adding my Day 1 project here.

If you’d like to be part of Charm School too, here are the important links:

And that’s my little crafty adventure into Charm School! Whether you’re a fellow Winnie like me or sorted into another house, I hope this collection sparks as much magic and fun in your projects as it did in mine. After all, school is always more fun when it’s Charm School

  1. Your big craft stash brings out the creativity in you. So many choices that it allows you to mix and match thus helping you create a unique piece with an expression of personality. The dauntless mixing of different styles, colors, texture and patterns make you achieve a “one-of-a-kind” look reflecting your personality and style.

Anyway, I tried to check on the Charm School Quiz and as expected from an old and not techy person wasn’t able to. Won’t push it , I’m too old to be joining the house of winnie, mickey , or whatever house there is. What’s important is I have a house and it’s HOME for all of us.
And the flowers, yes, its my gift. We ordered the same design which shows we have the same taste.

Mini Album with Tags | Polkadoodles Project

I had so fun creating this sweet little  Mini Album with Tags  using Polkadoodles printable goodies - it was fun and relaxing. This project is simple and it’s super versatile too. I designed the base cut file myself using  Cricut Design Space , and if you’re using DS, you can grab the file right here . It’s a great starting point if you’re looking for a quick and easy project with lots of room for personalization. For the papers, I used the  Happy Cactus Succulent Printable Papers  from Polkadoodles. The cheerful colors (my fave colors too!) and patterns are perfect for a spring or summer vibe. I paired them with solid cardstock for structure, using it for both the base and the tags tucked inside. The sentiment on the bellyband— “Hi, You” —comes from the  Honeypie Greetings Sentiment  pack. It’s such a simple but sweet message that works for just about any occasion. To finish it off, I tied a cute  polkadot ribbon on the tags  for a little e...

Polkadoodles Project - Kicking Off Christmas with a Clear Front Easel Card

First Christmas card of the year — check! I’m officially diving into festive crafting, and what better way to start than with a sparkly, interactive  easel clear front card ? I love how this one turned out. For this project, I combined die cutting, digital stamps, and a bit of dimension to create a unique card that’s both sturdy and see-through (yes, acetate powers!). Here’s how I made it and everything I used: Supplies Used: Plain cardstock (blue) Acetate sheet Glitter cardstock Lawn Fawn  – Snow Flurries Backdrop dies Sizzix Big Shot Ohuhu Markers Foam tape Bearly Art Precision Glue Cricut Maker Polkadoodles Digi Stamp  – Winnie White Christmas Polkadoodles Sentiment  – Seasons Greetings Paper trimmer 🛠️ How I Made It: Cut the acetate  to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. Die cut your glitter cardstock  using any border die you like. I used Lawn Fawn’s  Snow Flurries Backdrop  for a pretty, intricate and sparkly touch. Cut plain cardstock to 4 1/4 x 11 inc...

Digi Choosday Project | Gratitude Journaling Folio with Polkadoodles Autumn Fall Fox

Digi Choosday Project | Gratitude Journaling Folio with Polkadoodles Autumn Fall Fox   This week’s Digi Choosday prompt is  Halloween / Autumn , and while I initially planned on making just one Halloween project, I couldn’t help but want to do an Autumn-inspired one too. So… here’s my second project: a  Gratitude Journaling Folio  featuring the adorable  Autumn Fall Foxes  from Polkadoodles!  This folio is actually a  one-page wonder  design, but I saw the perfect patterned papers in the  Boo Halloween Paper Digital Bundle  and  Enfys Jetsetting Digital Stamp Bundle —so I ended up layering extra panels inside. If you’re recreating this, feel free to stick with a single 12x12 patterned paper, or go wild like I did!  The  cover  is a mixed media combo of a paper doily, trims, flowers, one of the Autumn Fox digi stamps, and the word  “Grateful.”  Inside, I added more sweet words like  “Thankful” ...
