This week’s Digi Choosday challenge is all about making a set of notelets to gift or sell—with a coordinating box or wallet to package them in. I loved the prompt so much that I made something just for me! I’ll be keeping this notelet set in my craft room, ready to use for swaps I’m sending to the Philippines.
I usually go for black and white digi stamps that I can color myself, but since I’ll be recreating this design multiple times, I chose the pre-colored Message Letter Fairy Winnie Daisy from Polkadoodles—perfect for both time-saving and consistent results.
Let’s be real, most of us crafters are always making things for others but rarely take time to craft something personal. This challenge was a great reminder to make something useful for myself too—and I love how it turned out!
Materials Used:
White and colored cardstock
Polkadoodles Rebel Pretty Printable Paper
Pre-colored Digi Stamp: Message Letter Fairy Winnie Daisy
Bearly Art Glue
Cutterpillar Pro Paper Trimmer & Crease Score Board
Gauze
Flower embellishment
Surebonder Glue Gun
Round scallop die
Hallmark blank cards & envelopes
We R Memory Keepers 1-2-3 Punch Board
How I Made It:
I used Cricut Design Space to design and cut the notelets, but if you don’t have a cutting machine, a photo editing site like Canva plus a good paper trimmer will work just fine!
Step-by-step Instructions:
Open Cricut Design Space and create a new project.
Add a rectangle shape and size it to 5 x 3.75 inches. Unlock the ratio so it doesn’t stay square.
Upload your chosen pattern paper to DS.
On the Upload screen, go straight through without removing the background. Choose Flat Graphic when prompted.
Resize the pattern paper slightly smaller proportionally, not by typing measurements. On the right side of DS, on the layer column, drag the layer of the rectangle above the pattern paper. Then drag the rectangle shape to the pattern paper. Now, it will be above the pattern paper.
Select both the rectangle and the pattern paper and click slice. This will slice the rectangle out of the pattern paper to get your notelet base. Delete the black rectangle and the excess of the pattern paper.
Use the Offset tool to create a smaller inset border within the pattern. Change the inset shape to white.
Upload your digi stamp (follow steps 3–7 again).
Resize and position the stamp where you like.
Add your name using the Text tool and your preferred font. Change color and size, and set it to Print Then Cut.
Duplicate the design based on how many you want to make, then hit Make!
I printed mine on 100lb white cardstock for good quality and durability. To make the notelet sturdier, I layered it onto a 5.25 x 4 inch piece of colored cardstock and adhered it to a Hallmark blank card. (I have a box of blank cards and matching envelopes!)

Envelope Box & Packaging:
For the packaging, I made a box-style envelope using the We R Memory Keepers 1-2-3 Punch Board and 100lb cardstock printed with Polkadoodles Rebel Pretty designs (back to back!).
Then I wrapped a belly band around it and decorated with:
A scalloped circle die cut
Gauze for texture
My Fairy Winnie Daisy digi stamp
Floral embellishments—all glued down with hot glue for a sturdy hold.
This was such a fun and practical project, and I can’t wait to make more of these notelets!

ReplyDeleteYour notecard design is simple yet whimsical. The belly band was a wonderful add-on making the note cards a set.
