Doodlebug World Cardmaking Day 2026

This one's a little late, but I still wanted to squeeze this blog post in before World Cardmaking Day month officially comes to an end!

Like every year, I joined Doodlebug's World Cardmaking Day challenges. This time around, I hit a little bump along the way and I started feeling under the weather halfway through the challenges. And as I start feeling really sick, I decided to skip one of them and focus on getting some rest. Even so, I still managed to complete 3 out of the 4 challenges and created a total of 8 cards, which I'm pretty happy about!

I mixed the Lots of Love and Cute & Crafty collections. One is a shaker card and the other one has a frame which also doubles as a photo frame if you want a more personalized card to give!

One of my favorite parts of this year's challenge was being able to use my Doodle Stamps again. If I'm remembering correctly, they were among the very first stamps (if not the first ever) I ever owned, and I don't think I've used them since I bought them back in 2020 or maybe 2021! I just used them once and kept them ever since. Well, maybe I've used them another time over the past years too. But still, 2x is not that much. I've been saying this recently but can't help but smile because I really think my coloring has improved so much over the years. Practice really does make a difference! (This is why I usually opt for black and white digis for my Polkadoodles projects because I get to practice coloring!)

For these cards, I used the Night Before Christmas Doodle Stamps, colored with Ohuhu Alcohol Markers, with a mix of the Lots of Love and Cute & Crafty collections!

These eight cards will also be joining my collection of handmade goodies for my upcoming Winter Bazaar, so it feels even more rewarding knowing they'll hopefully find new homes.

I made these festive cards using a mix of the Lots of Love and Cute & Crafty collections.

And yes... if you've noticed, I've been reaching for the same Doodlebug collections over and over again. I only own one full collection set, and over the years I've picked up a few destash bundles from crafty friends. The funny thing is, we all originally bought from the same seller, so despite adding to my stash, I somehow still have... the same collections! Haha!

But I think that's one of the things I love most about crafting. Even if you're working with the exact same papers and embellishments, a little imagination can turn them into something completely different every single time. It's a great reminder that you don't always need the newest supplies, you just need to look at what you already have with fresh eyes.
