Bienvenido Otoño Mini Album | Featuring the beautiful “Bienvenido Otoño” Collection by Miqueka Scrap

This is my favorite type of mini album — and I’ve been making one for each design team collection I’ve been given. I love this style because it's easy to assemble with no complicated binding needed. So... finally, here it is: my Bienvenido Otoño Mini Album, complete with step-by-step instructions and a reel to help you follow along.

Check out my flip through here.

This album style can be made in different sizes, but I usually go with 5 x 6.5 inches so it fits perfectly with A4-size paper. It’s compact, cute, and makes a lovely keepsake for your memories!

Materials Needed

  • CutterPillar Pro Paper Trimmer

  • Sure Bonder Glue Gun

  • Pattern Paper / Cardstock

  • Ephemera

  • Bearly Art Precision Glue

  • Ribbons and Trims

  • We R Maker Frame Punch Board (optional, but handy!)

  • Little Birdie Decorative Flowers

  • Circle Puncher

  • Plain Cardstock
  • Cardboard
  • Paper Doilies

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prepare the Base Pages

Choose 3 different patterned papers and trim each to 10.5 x 6.5 inches.

On the long side, score at 5 and 5.5 inches.

2. Create the Flap Page

Pick one of the patterned designs you want to have a flap.

Trim another piece of that design to 6 x 6.5 inches and score at 5 and 5.5 inches on the 6-inch side. Glue this flap to the right panel of one of the pattern papers you made in number 1 that matches the design you used here.

3. Make the Frames

Using your We R Maker Frame Punch Board, make 3x4 frames with a 5-inch border.

If you don’t have this punch board, you can manually cut the frames or use your cutting machine.

I made 10 frames for this album.

4. Prepare the Frame Layers

Cut 8 pieces of solid cardstock to 3 1/8 x 4 1/8 inches — these will be your frame bases.

For the flaps with frames, make 2 pieces of 3 1/8 x 5 inches solid rectangles.

Score these at 4 1/8 and 4.5 inches on the long side.

5. Assemble the Pages

Time to put it all together!

  • Use a circle puncher to make thumb notches for your pockets — or simply cut a semi-circle with scissors.

  • Glue the right side of the first cardstock to the left side of the second cardstock.

  • For the middle panel of your second page, glue only the left, right, and bottom sides to create a pocket at the top.

  • Apply the same method to any frames you’d like to turn into pockets — glue only three sides so you can slide in tags or photo mats.

I’ve included photos of each page here for your reference, but feel free to design and decorate your pages in your own style — that’s the fun part!

6. Create the Cover

Cut two pieces of cardboard to 5 x 6.5 inches and cover them with patterned paper.

Before adhering, sandwich ribbons between the cover papers and the cardboard — these will be your album ties.

For the spine, you can cover it with patterned paper, a thick ribbon, or lace for a soft textured finish.

7. Decorate!

Now for the fun part — decorate the cover with ephemera, ribbons, and flowers.

I added Little Birdie decorative flowers and trims for a cozy autumn vibe.

Final Touch

And there you have it — a beautiful Bienvenido Otoño Mini Album ready to be filled with your memories!

You can tweak the layout, page styles, or decorations to make it uniquely yours.

  1. Bienvenido Otoño - Welcome Autumn for this means, more time outdoors giving us opportunities for physical activities, longer nights which means longer sleep.
Your mini album may not be as mini when it comes to the maximized designs. Great job!
