Polkadoodles Digi Choosday | Treat Pouch

Hello crafty friends!

Here’s a fun and easy gift pouch idea that goes perfectly with my Zig Zag Fun Fold Surprise Card for this week’s Digi Choosday challenge! This is project 1 of 2 for our “December Birthday” prompt - and because we’re talking about December birthdays, this treat pouch is just right for adding a sweet little gift or surprise!

It’s also a great stash-buster project because it uses just one 6x6 paper - and I know you’ve got tons of those 6x6 pads sitting around too!

Materials Used

Instructions

  1. Cut your pattern paper to 6x6 inches. Or use your 6x6 paper pads!

  2. Score at 1 and 5 inches.

  3. Turn clockwise and score at 2¼ and 5 inches, but only up to the 1-inch score line.

  4. Add a third score line at 5½ inches (this one goes all the way down).

  5. Rotate your paper 180°.

  6. Score again up to the 1-inch line at 1½, 3¼, and 4¼ inches.

  7. Fold the side score lines. The side with more score lines is your bottom.

  8. Cut each tab up to the 1-inch score line.

  9. Remove the smallest end tab.

  10. Miter the small tabs on the bottom section.

  11. On the top flap (other side), cut the sides of the longest tab up to the 1-inch mark and remove the two side flaps.

  12. Add glue near the score line on the scored panel and gently fold over the other side — avoid creases! Do this for the side and the bottom.

  13. Use a corner rounder punch to round the corners of the flap cover (or manually with scissors). Add Velcro dots to close your pouch. Embellish with digi stamps or stickers.

And that’s it — a cute little treat pouch ready to fill with candies, small gifts, or even a mini lip balm!

This pouch was made to go with my Zig Zag Fun Fold Surprise Card, which you can check out here.
