These turned out so cute that they definitely deserve their own blog post! I made little lip balm gift booklets using Kelly Bangs Creative’s The Nutcracker Ball collection, and I’m obsessed with how pretty and easy they are to make.
The best part? You don’t need any fancy machines—just some basic tools, scraps, and a bit of ribbon!
I made a process reel you can pause for measurements, but if you’re not the type to read through blogs - boooo! (hehe), I’ve also included the measurements right in the caption.
These adorable booklets definitely leveled up my EOS lip balms I picked up during our Seattle trip—perfect for Christmas gifting! 🎄
And guess what? This is also an amazing scrap-busting project! If you’ll notice, each booklet uses different mirror, glitter, and plain cardstock—yep, all from my scrap pile.
Also, please excuse the curious cat who decided to join the crafting session right when I was taking photos. He left right after I finished snapping the last shot. Typical!

Instructions
Cut Base
2 pcs plain cardstock – 3 1/2” x 5 3/8”
Score at 2 3/8” and 3” along the long side
Cut Layers
2 pcs mirror / glitter cardstock – 2 1/8” x 3 1/4”
2 pcs pattern paper – 2 1/8” x 3 1/4”
1 pc white cardstock – 2 1/8” x 3 1/4”
Cut Lip Balm Slot
Take one piece of your plain cardstock.
Align the short side at 1 1/4” and cut from the first score line down to 3 5/8” (adjust length depending on lip balm thickness).
Move and align at 2 1/4” and repeat the cut.
Attach Ribbon
Add a small dot of hot glue in the middle of both sides of the cardstock and glue your ribbon in place.
Assemble
Glue this piece to the second plain cardstock to make the booklet sturdier and to hide the ribbon ends.
Decorate!
Layer your pattern paper onto the mirror / glitter cardstock, then adhere to the front and back of your booklet.
Add embellishments and ephemera.
Use the white cardstock inside for a stamped sentiment or leave it blank to write your own.
That’s it—easy peasy but makes your small gift look oh-so-special!
