Polkadoodles New Release | Pig-ging Out with Easter Eggs Easter Card

If you love quick makes and using up those paper scraps you’ve been saving, this one’s for you! This Easter card is not only super easy to put together, it’s also a fun scrapbusting project - ultimate win-win!

For this card, I used the adorable Pig-ging out with Easter eggs digi from Polkadoodles, paired with some colorful strips from my stash to create a bright and textured background.

Materials Needed

  • Digi stamp - Pig-ging out with Easter eggs digi

  • Solid colored cardstock – Wanda Plain Janes collection

  • Sentiment - included with the digi

  • Dylusions Ink Spray in White Linen or white acrylic paint

  • Foam tape

  • Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue

  • Embossing folder - Spellbinders Kelly Bangs Bold Floral Embossing Folder

  • Sizzix Big Shot

Instructions

1. Prepare your card base by trimming white cardstock to 8.5 x 5.5 inches.

2. Score the card base at 4.25 inches on the long side.

3. Trim another white cardstock to 4 x 5.25 inches—this will be your strips base for easy alignment.

4. Gather your paper scraps! Choose 5 different colors from the Wanda Plain Janes collection.

5. Trim 4 pieces to 4 x 1 inch and the fifth piece to 4 x 1.4 inches.

6. Adhere the strips onto your strips base.

7. Run the panel through your embossing folder using your die-cutting machine.

8. Once embossed, adhere the panel to your card base.

9. Add some splatters using white ink spray or acrylic paint for extra texture.

10. Prepare your colored digi stamp and sentiment, then adhere them using foam tape for dimension.

A Little Tip

This is such a great way to use leftover papers from previous projects - don’t be afraid to mix colors and patterns. The embossing ties everything together beautifully!

Your card is now ready - cute, colorful, and totally scrap-friendly!
